ARSCCA Board Meeting - January 9, 2019

Lengthy discussion on 2019 points system.  Several options were presented, hashed out, and discarded.  Finally deciding that a small change for 2019 to see how it goes.  Points go to the top 10 in class with the winner bringing home an extra for the win.  Points go from Win = 11, Second = 9, Third = 8, Fourth = 7, etc.

 

Motion was made to change the number of events that must be attended for 2019.  It will still be half the events plus one, but we’ll be rounding down rather than up.  If we have 13 events, half is 6.5, round down to 6 and add one, so to be eligible the golden number is 7 events.

 

Banner for the van approved.  We’ll pay the designer $120 and another $120 for printing.  The banner will be made to hang on the outside of the van during events and stowed away otherwise.

 

Nelson to email WM regarding proposed dates for 2019.  Nick and Nelson to go Friday to discuss to see how many we can get approved.

 

There is a request for people to go to Blytheville to patch concrete before the ProSolo event.  The club to pay for concrete and a hotel for those willing to work.  Interested parties will need to contact Corey for possible dates.  Brady to get a copy of the aerial view of the surface to determine where the work needs to be done.

 

We had volunteers for some of the chief positions for the ProSolo.  There are a couple that we’ll be asking outside the board for volunteers.  We’ll be requesting Richard Holden from Memphis to be the Chief Safety Steward at the event.  Nelson will contact him to request.

I was asked to find the list of items we need to get or have replaced.  This is the original list.  Some items have been purchased and others we need to find supplier to order:

Banners – line banners for perimeter  

Wireless timing equipment – purchased

Folding chairs for the bus

Flour liner

Milk crates for lights

Helmets – 13 (10 for AC/3 for RC)

Cones – purchased

Safety flags – Brady has flags his daughter made for the club.
